As tattoos Underboob tattoos are those done below, on the sides or other areas near the female breasts. The term underboob comes from English and literally means under the breast. Tattoos in this location have become popular and even famous people like Rihanna and Thaila Ayala have adhered to them.
The success of these tattoos lies in the various versatilities that they can possess. The first is that because it is a more intimate location, women who prefer tattoos in reserved and less visible places can opt for an underboob. The second is that the location is very interesting for creating symmetrical compositions in the drawings.
Most often tattoos in this location adapt to the measurements and proportions of each woman’s body, creating a design with unique proportions and a result shaped especially for that body shape. Some underboob tattoos give the interesting look of a frame to the breasts.
Underboob Tattoo Ideas
Many designs can be adapted to the location, but we can follow some tips for the result to be more satisfactory. “The designs need to be tailor-made, because each woman has a different anatomy and I value unique designs that are harmonious with each woman’s body,” recommends the tattoo artist Samantha Sam from the studio Sampa Tattoo .
Symmetry is something very interesting to be considered when opting for an underboob tattoo and some designs tend to provide a more satisfactory result on the spot, however, nothing is a rule: “I prefer symmetrical designs to match the symmetry of the body, but there is no rule, the important thing is for the client to be satisfied with the result,” stresses the tattoo artist.

Flower Tattoos are great preference and they can easily be adapted to the location. An arrangement with several flowers together with other elements creates a very interesting composition for the location.
Mandalas

Mandalas are composed of a set of designs that form a circular element. They can be represented by flowers, geometric elements, among others. Perhaps the most popular designs in the area, mandalas can be incorporated perfectly for this venue.
Geometric

From a small triangle centered between the breasts, to more complex designs, these are great ideas for an underboob tattoo. The geometric tattoos are looking for symmetry and the location seems to be ideal for that.
Birds

Birds with spread wings look very symmetrical in the area. The tattoo can be just a bird or use other elements next to the main element.
Butterflies and dragonflies

Again using the idea of open wings, just like bird tattoos, butterfly and dragonfly designs with open wings cause a very interesting symmetrical effect.
Wild Animals

Wild animals with antlers, such as deer, are ideal for underboob tattooing. However, other animals such as fox, lion, wolf, among others, can also be adapted to the site.
Phrases

The idea of the phrase explains itself: just choose one of your choice and take advantage of the location to assign a symmetry. In some cases, for example, the phrase can be used as an outline around the breast.
The details of the underboob tattoo
The location for the tattoo is one of the main decisions when choosing to get a tattoo. For those who opted for an underboob tattoo, it is interesting to know a few things about it and solve some doubts, in order to bring more peace of mind at the time of the procedure.
Pain is one of the main factors of doubt when opting for this location, but this question is very relative: “some people feel a lot of pain, while others sleep during the tattoo”, comments Samantha. “Even so, from what I’ve noticed among my clients, the underboob tattoo is a little more painful than the common places like arm, wrist, calf”, adds the tattoo artist.
The pain, however, is not an intimidating factor if the woman wants to have this type of tattoo. Trust in the professional who will perform the procedure is essential: “I believe that if you trust the professional, the experience won’t be traumatic at all, on the contrary”, Samantha points out.
Exposure is also a relevant item to be thought about. As the region is more intimate, some women may feel exposed when getting a tattoo. In this case, it’s worth asking if there’s a private room in the studio, in case it’s preferred. “Here at Sampa Tattoo we have private rooms in case the client prefers”, comments Samantha.
